Manic Monday, Indeed!

Down Under, 16-year old Ayten Ahmet (pictured) has advanced to the top 26 of Miss Teen Australia, horrifying some Australian Muslim leaders!

The Year 11 student says she entered the pageant to fulfil her modelling ambition, and was surprised by the objections. Her parents, Salih and Sarah Ahmet, say Ayten is a typical teenager, and her faith is irrelevant to the contest. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE! Two girls from next month's Victorian final will go on to the national final. The winner will represent Australia at Miss Teen World.

You gotta hand it to Michelle Malkin! She's a one-woman blogging machine, and she knocks one more out of the park today, posting about the alleged Israeli strike on a Reuters news van last week.

I ran across this today:
VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) _ AUTHORITIES IN A BINGHAMTON-AREA TOWN SAY A MAN INTENTIONALLY SET HIMSELF ON FIRE IN HIS OWN DRIVEWAY THIS PAST WEEKEND. POLICE IN VESTAL SAY THEY RECEIVED A REPORT OF A FIRE LATE SATURDAY NIGHT. THE FIRE WAS OUT BY THE TIME OFFICERS AND FIREFIGHTERS ARRIVED. THE 42-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS TAKEN TO WILSON MEDICAL CENTER IN JOHNSON CITY. HE THEN WAS TRANSFERRED TO THE BURN UNIT AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN SYRACUSE. POLICE AREN'T RELEASING THE MAN'S CURRENT CONDITION...

A sad story. Life should never be taken so seriously that one seriously considers taking his or her own life.

And last, but far from least, it looks like we got punk'd in the JonBenet Ramsey Case...
From The Albany Eye:
I hope the American media feel like idiots after devoting so much coverage to that twisted wacko John Mark Karr.

You didn't have to be a genius to look at this guy and figure out that there was something fishy about his story, but that didn't stop the frenzied and obsessive reporting about Karr's so-called confession. While cable news is the the prime offender here, especially MSNBC, nobody escapes the stink of this mess ---including those of you who dared to lead your local newscast with this or put it on the front page.

(And don't forget all of us who have followed the case and blogged about it!)
So back to square one!
