Ramadi
Rare indeed is the day I go back to a previous post and embellish it... culprit COINCIDENCE is at work here! Earlier today after trying to post this article, I beagn to have all sorts of problems with Blogger, with my internet connection, with my PC. I had to log off before I could register a trackback to Michelle Malkin's blog.My bad digital luck continued: my little Kodak EasyShare camera gave up the ghost during a Christmas picture-snap at Colonie Center. This evening (Saturday 8pm) I decided to try agian. Much better luck this time. Coincidentally, as I am completeing the trackback and reading more about the War in Iraq, I put a CD on that I picked up at the Albany Public Library yesterday. "The Essential DONOVAN." So, just as I'm reading about Iraq, this song comes through the speakers:
I'm writing a note beneath a tree,Hmmf, I think... and then...
The smell of the rain on the greenery.
Our fathers have painfully lost their way,
That's why, my love, I'm here today
Hear me when I say there will come a day
When Kings will know and love can grow.
To Susan on the West Coast waiting,
From Andy in Vietnam fighting.
Lord kiss me once moreHmmf again!
Fill me with song
Allah Kiss me once more
So I may, so I may
Wear Your Love Like Heaven
Cannot believe what I see
All I have wished for will be
All of our race proud and free
Well, anyway, now that you are here, welcome! After you read this entry, please visit the homepage for this and many other articles!
Ramadiyah / Ar Ramadi is situated about 70 miles, or 110 kilometers, west of Baghdad on the Euphrates River. Ramadi is not far from Fallujah, and so similar to Fallujah both tribally and in their disdain towards the idea of being occupied...
Michelle Malkin blogs: Mike Fumento has photos from his latest trip to Ramadi. Here's one he snapped at Camp Ramadi. Mike writes: "Something tells me Cindy Sheehan wouldn't feel comfortable here."
