Galilea Montijo Tops Technorati

I've heard rumors that Google is working on its own version of Technorati. If that's true, for the first time we'll get an accurate picture of what bloggers are really blogging about. As I have metioned in previous posts, Technorati has been "broken" for a long time now. It's credibility and accuracy sinking like a stone rock. The number one search item today is Galilea Montijo. Ron Paul (a minor player in the US presidential race) is also way up on the T'rati Top Ten. But are people really interested in these topics? I think not. If you click through the top ten listings you find nothing but spam, copycat "scraper" sites and bloggers who have incorporated the keywords or "tags" into posts having nothing to do with the actual "topic."

So who is this Galilea Montijo? She's an actress (born June 5, 1973 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico). Montijo's career began when she won the contest La Chica TV in 1993. After that, she starred in several telenovelas and shows.

In 2004, Galilea participated in the reality show Big Brother VIP and ended up winning. During this time she was the girlfriend of Mexican football star Cuauhtemoc Blanco. She also participated in the second season of Bailando por un Sueño (Dancing for a Dream).

In 2006, Montijo starred in the Mexican telenovela La Verdad Oculta, opposite Gabriel Soto.

In 2007(this is where all the T'rati hoopla comes in) a sex video surfaced that featured a woman people assumed to be Montijo. She repeatedly denied that she was the actress in the movie, assertions that proved correct when the actress in question was revealed as Latina porn star Monique Fuentes.
