Between A Rock And A Hard Place

Atlanta Journal Constitution: If Caroline Kennedy wants a Senate seat, she should take Uncle Teddy’s

Quagmire - don't you just love that word? Some say that's where NY Governor David Paterson finds himself. Trying to figure out WHO he should pick to fill Hillary Clinton's Senate Seat. Let's do the math. There are at least seven qualified candidates but two of them posess axes they could wield against our beloved Guv: Should he not select Caroline, the Kennedys could use their vast resources to fund a candidate to run against Paterson when time comes. Andrew Cuomo could decide to run against Paterson if he is not chosen. Anybody have any thoughts on what would play out if the Governor surprised everyone and picked a successor out of left field?
