Former mountain biking world champion Melissa "Missy" Giove was in custody Thursday on federal drug charges after authorities said they seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana from a truck she was driving right near the Capital Region, up Saratoga way!According to published reports: "a later search of Canon's home turned up more than 150 pounds of marijuana and more than $1 million in cash stashed in the closet and basement." (Darnit! Don't ya wish you'd known where that basement was!;)
There is a song for every occasion...Speaking of bikes, the Albany Public Library's main branch on Washington Avenue is now holding a second public meeting on its first bicycle master plan, a document to help steer the city in developing cycling routes over the next two decades... I understand folks will be available 6 - 8 p.m. (wear your rain gear or take the bus if you're thinking of stopping by!)
