Today’s world operates on minute-by-minute communications – some as brief as the 140 characters of Twitter and no more than what may fit in the initial screen of an email. Phone conversations have been reduced to texts and many people do not leave voice mail messages hoping that the “missed call” list will do the job. Despite the velocity of life there still remains a few seconds for politeness, which shows the recipient that you care much more than abbreviations such as LOL or CUL8r or I(heart)u.
