Morning Paper...

The NYS Senate is still in chaos. I see pictures of yesterday's localized flooding and RIP Karl Malden, dead at 97. The most chilling news appears on page A8 of the Times Union: before he was hanged, Saddam Hussein told the FBI that his fear of fanatics in Iran was the reason he allowed the world to THINK he had WMDs. So his fatal mistake lied in being a "PT Barnum" of sorts as he led his country and his people. He was up against the western press, which can be brutal. It will likely be years before we know the truth about Iraq and its fallen dead leader.
