UPDATE! IS TWITTER THE NEXT TECHNORATI???? Latest word: twitter shot itself in the foot today, suspending THOUSANDS of accounts! People are really pissed off! It's time for an alternative, RELIABLE service to emerge!
The twitter bubble may be about to burst! I may have tweeted my last tweet!
Is this "goodbye twitter"??? I'm not sure! My account has been suspended. I asked a "social networking expert" WHY, since I haven't heard back any conclusive answer from twitter. Here's what he told me:
1 - You keep linking to your blog. That's a no-no! And also, it's a BLOGGER blog!
2 - You followed too many people too fast! And they followed you back!
3 - You need to tweet more ORIGINAL stuff, like for instance "I'm taking a dump right now" and "I'm eating peas with my steak" and "Wow, look at my dog lick his butt. Atta boy!"
4 - One of your "followers" probably complained about your tweets! Maybe you are sending too many!
Here's the email I sent twitter:
I'm pretty much following all the people I want to follow. I am sorry if I added too many people. I do tweet links to my blog whenever I put a new post up. There is some service that does that automatically, but I have forgotten what it was, and I didn't see it as being a problem.
Are you able to restore my account? If the links to my blog are a problem I give you permission to block whatever the service is that is sending them. I looked thru my eMails and I don't know for sure if it is blogspot or something else doing that.
Okay folks, I'm going to sit tight for a few days and see what the twittergods decide. maybe twitter isn't the wonderful marvelous thing it's cracked up to be... and hey, what about that Guy Kawasaki or whatever his name is who tweets links and sales pitches all day long? Oh yeah, he's a "world famous author" so if he does that kinda stuff, it's okay!

Hi Dave, the same thing happened to me today! I was following the steps outlined by a so-called twitter expert, which supposedly could help me build many followers in a relatively short span of time. This is something that many internet marketers are doing right now. They are making money, but my Twitter account is suspended before I even build a decent list of followers!
