Good Morning! Here We Go Again!

Hey, you editors and publishers of "failing newspapers" - here's how one paper is embracing new social media and blogging as a tool for use along the way to re-inventing itself: mouseover and click on the image for details!

Last Day of August

What a great summer we didn't have... tomorrow is September 1st, and I can count the *hot* days we've enjoyed on one hand. Let's see: tomatoes affected by blight. Weather too rainy and cold for outdoor activities like swimming. Thacher Park Pool goes another summer without opening. Suckarooni!

Now we have to set our sights on Winter. Snow in these parts has come as early as October and as late as December. My guess is, based on the overabundance of Summer Rain, that we'll have a dry winter. The question is will it be mild, cold, or super-cold?

Another Work Week Begins - last one before it's "back-to-school" for the kiddies. The "fall blogging season" begins as well. I'm wondering if my Google Page Rank is going to drop. I noticed that all last week when the Googlebot visited here, it seemed "confused" and was ending up on the wrong pages or articles after conducting specific searches. Hmmmm... I wonder if that has anything at all to do with "link Within" or that "rate this post" feature somehow corrupting the code...who knows? Not to worry: there's more than one way to attract readers to a blog!

The #1 post on this humble weblog Saturday was the one about Shoko Tan, oddball Japanese blogebrity... My post about Internet Explorer 6 was a few hits behind, at #2.
