Entrecardery

entrecard
Is Entrecard really worth the time and trouble? Despite a slight hike in the old bounce rate, I've stuck with the network, and overall, I'm satisfied! But that's me! Tj thinks differently: "It's been a long time since I removed Entrecard from my widgets here in this site, but I doubt their system changed significantly. Don't consider this post as biting the hand that fed me. Let's look at it from a past user's first hand perspective. Here we go: [...]"

Pink Splotch Blog LIKES the EC system: "very simple - yet amazingly effective. Not to mention FREE and easy to use" [...]

Although the folks who run EC have done a lot to keep things running smoothly, there are those jackasses that come in and try (and sometimes succeed) in ruining it for others: "This morning while doing my drops yet again another hack site, and then one with a redirect to a virus download. This is the same virus that nearly wiped out my computer before, and I am not dealing with it again. I use several other traffic exchange sites, and I don't know what they do differently for security but whatever it is Entrecard needs to do it too. They can not protect their members from these sites and that is obvious."

IF YOU ENCOUNTER A SUSPICIOUS SITE, REPORT IT TO EC IMMEDIATELY!

DO NOT DROP ON ANY BLOGS THAT APPEAR ON YOUR DASHBOARD UNLESS YOU ARE 100% CERTAIN THEY ARE LEGIT!

Something new has appeared on the scene. I don't plan on incorporating it as a regular feature here on my weblog (I may not incorporate it at all), but I may refer to it from time to time. It's called Entrecard INDEX

COMMENTING CHARGES
Per comment rate: $2
Payable by either clicking the BitCoin "tip me" button or the PayPal "donate" button in the sidebar.

WAIT, WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO COMMENT?
Because, like the fine publication Tablet, whom I borrowed this concept from, I too am committed to bringing you the best, smartest, most enlightening and entertaining reporting and writing I'm able to provide, all free of charge. I take pride in my loyal readership, and I'm thrilled that you choose to engage with me in a way that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. But the Internet, for all of its wonders, poses challenges to civilized and constructive discussion, allowing vocal—and, often, anonymous—minorities to drag it down with invective (and worse).

I'm asking people who'd like to post comments on my blog to pay a nominal fee—less a paywall than a gesture of your own commitment to the cause of great conversation. All proceeds go to helping me bring you the provocative and/or entertaining articles that brought you here in the first place.

I NEED TO BE HEARD! BUT I DONT WANT TO PAY.
Readers can still interact with me FREE of charge via Facebook comments and Google+ comments! You can also reach me via Twitter @davelucas

I hope this new largely symbolic measure will help create a more pleasant and cultivated environment for all! Those of you who choose to contribute, thanks for your support.
