Welcome to a brand new year, teeming with possibilities! There are people whose names you do not know today, but one year from now will be on everyone's lips. There are events to happen that will change your world. There are people who will die - some of these deaths will be unexpected and quite shocking. Nothing can change the shape of things to come!
As we sail along the River Time, "Don't look back" is the best advice I can give you, along with "Don't give up." With the right measure of determination and positive people on your side, you really can achieve whatever you want. I've seen it happen to others. But it is similar to holding a winning lottery ticket: the element of chance is involved.]
Think of it this way: Your life is a boat on the river of time. You have various tools you can use to fish with. Each fish in the water represents a different opportunity. Some days you can go out for hours and come back empty-handed because "the fish aren't biting." Other days you'll hook one or two, and on those very special days your net will be full and you'll bring enough back to the shore to share with others.
I haven't been to a funeral since my mother died. I don't like to say goodbye to others that way. I like to remember them standing tall and smiling wide.
