Don't Let YOUR Blog Go 'Bye-Bye'!

If you believe in freedom of speech as passionately as I do, you may also have grown up as a member of the "FREE" internet society. I love FREE. FREE is good!

Here's a great argument against using a blog-hosting service.

I'm reproducing a portion of text here so you can still read it when the blog sunsets.
I WILL BE DELETING THIS BLOG PERMANENTLY as soon as possible.

Our cost right now for one satellite is $79.99 a month(Wildblue Satellite) and until yesterday I was shut down completely due to going over my usage. I have no idea how I went over as we were not home for over a week and then I was sick. But, according to my provider I was sitting at 124% usage. They gave me a one time courtesy roll back to 40% usage just this morning.

They never reset to 0% usage unless I go an entire month without using the internet at all. But, we are still billed for that entire month. I have no idea how this can be legal but it is and there is nothing we can do about it.

To keep my blog going I would be forced once again to use 2 satellites(Wildblue and Hughesnet) at the cost of approximately $200 a month US. We simply can't afford this and I am not going to do it again or any longer. Walter retires next year and our inciome will be fixed.

It's been a great run and I will miss you all very very much. But, we have no other alternative. I know I have left before and come back. But, this time I will be deleting this blog once and for all. So PLEASE CANCEL ANY AND ALL ADDS ASAP!!

It's been a great run of almost 4 years and well over 1000 posts. I will miss everyone very very much and I love you all, every single one of you. You will allways be in my heart as will the memories of this blog, which I also love!!
What a shame! I would hope that the blogger might find some way of keeping her blog, perhaps by using a publicly available internet service at a cafe or the local library. It doesn't sound like this blogger has wi-fi available.

If you're on blogger you can post directly from your cellphone! I've done it in the past (not recently, though I could if I wanted to) and my friend Bai-Ling uses her phone to post all the time!
