Circles, Hangouts and Sparks (Oh My!)

Like I did in the past with twitter and Facebook, I'm taking my own sweet time to get down and comfy with Google+.
There are two ways to approach G+

(1) Gradually get involved the way I do it

(2) Total Immersion

If you are anxious to get off on the right foot with G+ and get it set up and operating "the way you wished you had done with twitter and/or facebook" --- you need to print out the following articles and STUDY the hardcopy before going near a computer.

Get a full, complete understanding of what Google+ really is, how it compares to twitter & facebook, and what it can REALLY do. It's akin to reading the manual before you try to operate a piece of new technology. Trial and error is ok, but you may end up needing to make a lot of corrections. I want to help you avoid that!

Chances are you are NOT a freelance writer. But the first guide to G+ you need is posted by Harleena Singh. When you read How Freelance Writers can Use Google+, pay particular attention to 7. Consolidation of Google Tools - the most important element in the G+ mix!

Next, you'll want to stop by FamousBloggers.net, to grab a print copy of 10 Ways to Use Google+ For Promoting Your Blog ~ by UGO.

COMMENTING CHARGES
Per comment rate: $2
Payable by either clicking the BitCoin "tip me" button or the PayPal "donate" button in the sidebar.

WAIT, WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO COMMENT?
Because, like the fine publication Tablet, whom I borrowed this concept from, I too am committed to bringing you the best, smartest, most enlightening and entertaining reporting and writing I'm able to provide, all free of charge. I take pride in my loyal readership, and I'm thrilled that you choose to engage with me in a way that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. But the Internet, for all of its wonders, poses challenges to civilized and constructive discussion, allowing vocal—and, often, anonymous—minorities to drag it down with invective (and worse).

I'm asking people who'd like to post comments on my blog to pay a nominal fee—less a paywall than a gesture of your own commitment to the cause of great conversation. All proceeds go to helping me bring you the provocative and/or entertaining articles that brought you here in the first place.

I NEED TO BE HEARD! BUT I DONT WANT TO PAY.
Readers can still interact with me FREE of charge via Facebook comments and Google+ comments! You can also reach me via Twitter @davelucas

I hope this new largely symbolic measure will help create a more pleasant and cultivated environment for all! Those of you who choose to contribute, thanks for your support.
