The Hottest Cities in America

It's getting to that time. Summer time.

The weather is getting warmer and the clothes are getting shorter. The pools are opening and the air conditioners are getting cranked up. Some places are experiencing more heat than others. So where are the hottest cities in America?

Here's a list of some of the cities that experience the highest temperatures during the summer.

Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Lake Havasu has an average temperature of over 107 degrees during July. Luckily the city also has a lake for its residents to take a dip into when the weather gets too warm.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas also boasts an average temperature of over 107 degrees during the summer months. Make sure you are getting your air conditioner repair Las Vegas done early, wouldn't want to be without it on those scorching days.

Chandler, Arizona

Again, the weather in this city stays hot all day and all night. The sun might go down but don't expect the temperature to drop drastically.

Yuma, Arizona

Starting to see a trend here? Yuma's temperature also stays above 107 during the summer with temperature often reaching into the 115 range. Yikes that's hot!

Scottsdale, Arizona

Yup, its officially decided, Arizona holds most of the hottest weather. Because of their southern location, Arizona and southern Nevada boast some of the hottest temperatures in the country.

Other cities on the list include Henderson, NV, Phoenix, AZ, Tempe, AZ, and Mesa, AZ. You can expect weather above 100 degrees almost all summer long. Make sure you have your air conditioner cranked and a pool nearby, you're going to need it to survive these scorching temperatures. Stay hydrated and enjoy the weather, if you can.

I take pride in my loyal readership, and I'm thrilled that you choose to engage with me in a way that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. I'm asking people who'd like to post comments on my blog to pay a nominal fee—less a paywall than a gesture of your own commitment to the cause of great conversation. All proceeds go to helping me bring you the provocative and/or entertaining articles that brought you here in the first place.
