This story is interesting for the news it's NOT making across the Albany broadcast news market, + the fact that the link to the newspaper story cited by Google has been removed!
A lot newspapers restricting stories or putting up internet pay walls are shooting themselves in the foot - the FREE interent is where people get their news!
Luckily, I was able to retrieve the text below from Google's CACHE - it may explain WHY the story isn't getting more attention - look at the last sentence - with no story online, most people these digital days ignore it!
Cohoes Mayor John T. McDonald and his mother, Barbara, whose family-owned Marra's Pharmacy has been a fixture in the city for generations, are fighting a more than $1.46 million penalty levied against their business for numerous violations cited in an audit by the state Office of Medicaid Inspector General. Lawmakers, including Assembly Majority Leader Ron Canestrari, a longtime neighbor of McDonald and customer of the business, says the agency's policies are too draconian. State Sen. Betty Little also says changes are needed. The agency says it must protect the public.
