Tips and Tricks For Your Skin This Summer

Guest Post by Samantha Ferguson

The summer is great for most people. Except those with oily or unruly skin. Many people's skin goes crazy during the summer time. Whether it is from too much sun exposure, sweat or more time spent outdoors getting dirty, there are ways to protect your skin this summer. Make sure you are taking precautions to protect your skin.

The first tip is obviously to wear sunscreen. Lather your skin with sunscreen every time you are in the sun. Wearing sunscreen is sometimes not enough though, make sure you are also taking precautions by using lotions that contain spf and choosing makeup that protects your skin from the sun. The more layers of protection, the better.

If you have oily skin, you should bring skin blotting tissues with you. During the day just a few pats here and there can soak up the oil and not let it soak back into your skin. Keeping your face dry can help prevent pimples and clogged pores. No one wants clogged pores or pimples anywhere on their body, especially during the summer when more skin is showing.

If you are having serious problems with your skin this summer and need to see someone, Oscar Hevia is a leading Miami cosmetic dermatology expert who can help to discover the true cause of your problem. You may have a skin disease you didn't even know about. Keep your skin looking healthy and bright this summer by taking precautions and getting to the root of your problem.

Because, like the fine publication Tablet, whom I borrowed this concept from, I too am committed to bringing you the best, smartest, most enlightening and entertaining reporting and writing I'm able to provide, all free of charge. I take pride in my loyal readership, and I'm thrilled that you choose to engage with me in a way that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. But the Internet, for all of its wonders, poses challenges to civilized and constructive discussion, allowing vocal—and, often, anonymous—minorities to drag it down with invective (and worse).

I'm asking people who'd like to post comments on my blog to pay a nominal fee—less a paywall than a gesture of your own commitment to the cause of great conversation. All proceeds go to helping me bring you the provocative and/or entertaining articles that brought you here in the first place.

Readers can still interact with me FREE of charge via Facebook comments and Google+ comments! You can also reach me via Twitter @davelucas

I hope this new largely symbolic measure will help create a more pleasant and cultivated environment for all! Those of you who choose to contribute, thanks for your support.
