Avoid Big Blogging Mistakes - 4 Smart Steps

Inspired by the catch-phrase "Mean Girls," "Mean Business" when you blog! Be ruthless, individual and independent as you go forward with your mission to inform --- "informission" --- and let yourself not be swayed by the likes of self-serving "guru" bloggers who only want to sell you something!

Good Morning! Start your Monday off right...

#1 DON'T LISTEN TO BLOGGING GURUS!
One schmuck came up with a bunch of jive about stripping all of the widegets etc. from your sidebar(s) and of course a bunch of sheeple bloggers unable to think for themselves did do!

WRONG! You don't have to flush your creativity down the toilet because one idiot says so!

Usey our head! My blog got over 3-thousand hits one day last week just by me being a smart blogger - using a search term as the title of article that instantly attracted droves of people and sent my site to the TOP of Google just for that particular keyword/topic! The post took me less than 5 minutes to write and publish.

#2 REMEMBER ::: YOUR BLOG IS ALL ABOUT TWO THINGS - READERS and CONTENT!
I don't care if you have 5 sidebars chock full of widgets and crap galore. If you posted about something trending hot, you'll have thousands of hits. (Of course, with a simpler design you'll have thousands more, people who are unable to view an overstuffed blog template)

Sometimes the blogging gurus actually give out some good advice. Denise Wakeman, who stole my "Blog On!" shout-phrase, remarkable posted some FREE advice (I have saved the file in case she bgins charging for it, just let me know your email addy and I'll share it with you) for "Building Community on Your Blog" - there are six "tips" - but all you need to concentrate on are #1,2 and 3...
  • Push for comments
  • Engage Readers whenever you can
  • Make content interactive whenever possible
The rest of Wakeman's "timely tips" are simply time-wasters! Especially the whole schplitz about "guest-bloggers" - you DON'T need them! I use them myself, but I don't NEED them... if you want to guest blog for me, you gotta pay! (Unless you are a very good friend!)

#3 READ MY LETTER TO A YOUNG BLOGGER" Snippet: "The clever cutting-edge blogger does not simply re-hash, re-write or share existing material - he or she re-channels and re-imagines it. Many bloggers go a step farther, posting original material exclusively in innovative and non-conventional fashion."

#4 Check out my FREE Online Blogging course, "The One Minute Blogger" - packed with solid FREE FREE FREE information that you can use right away!

COMMENTING CHARGES
Per comment rate: $2
Payable by either clicking the BitCoin "tip me" button or the PayPal "donate" button in the sidebar.

WAIT, WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY TO COMMENT?
Because, like the fine publication Tablet, whom I borrowed this concept from, I too am committed to bringing you the best, smartest, most enlightening and entertaining reporting and writing I'm able to provide, all free of charge. I take pride in my loyal readership, and I'm thrilled that you choose to engage with me in a way that is both thoughtful and thought-provoking. But the Internet, for all of its wonders, poses challenges to civilized and constructive discussion, allowing vocal—and, often, anonymous—minorities to drag it down with invective (and worse).

I'm asking people who'd like to post comments on my blog to pay a nominal fee—less a paywall than a gesture of your own commitment to the cause of great conversation. All proceeds go to helping me bring you the provocative and/or entertaining articles that brought you here in the first place.

I NEED TO BE HEARD! BUT I DONT WANT TO PAY.
Readers can still interact with me FREE of charge via Facebook comments and Google+ comments! You can also reach me via Twitter @davelucas

I hope this new largely symbolic measure will help create a more pleasant and cultivated environment for all! Those of you who choose to contribute, thanks for your support.
