Different Kinds of Dental Fillings

So you have a cavity.

It's ok, nothing to be ashamed of, almost everyone will have at least once cavity in their lifetime.

Those who don't get at least one cavity somehow lucked out with seemingly perfect teeth. All of us can't be that lucky. So now its time to figure out how to take care of that cavity. Well the first step is obviously to visit a dentist Las Vegas or whichever area you are in, then you decide which type of filling you want.

Different kinds of fillings? Didn't know there were options? There are. Here are some of the options you have when choosing a filling type for your tooth.

The Gold Filling.

Some people just find gold to be more appealing than other options. This option could be a bit spendier than the others so beware.

Silver Fillings.

Although this filling is less expensive many don't like the look of having silver in their teeth. Silver might be your favorite color.

Tooth Colored Fillings.

Probably the most popular filling type, this filling will blend in with your teeth. The downfall is they donÕt last as long as their colored counterparts.

You also have the option of ceramics which are made of porcelain but tend to be more expensive, and glass ionomer, which is typically used in children's teeth because its shallow durability.

Ask your dentist about all the options and the disadvantages and advantages of each. Make an educated decision that is best for your teeth and wallet.

Yuck. Who likes dental fillings. I would personally rather have clear. Why don't they make clear ones? The white fillings make it look like you have white gum stuck on your back teeth. Oh well. Maybe that's a future invention! :)

  2. Thanks for great information you write it very clean. I am very lucky to get this tips from you.
