I've often wondered why the security guards at the Racino always seem to be hovering around when anyone pulls out a smartphone... now we know! The BIG HUGE question is whether this will the result in the banning of cellphones at the popular gaming joint? (Not to mention the issue of bettors' trust now that New York is trying to get into the mainstream Casino business)
I've experienced similar problems with electronic games at Saratoga but got the same explanation from a helpful attendant who went inside the computer of the gaming machine, which reported everything was in order. The NYS Lottery told WNYT: "The machine showed too high of a figure and then corrected itself. This game has been in service since 2006, and we have not had any complaints before about it."
