Early Saturday, prior to heading down to Chinatown, I attended a D-Day Remembrance at the Holiday Inn in Latham. What's that? You don't know what D-Day is? Then you probably don't know what or when Pearl Harbor Day is either. Do you know the anniversary of the murder of US President John F. Kennedy? If you answered no, you are probably anywhere from to 10 to 30 years old. It's sad that so much American History vanishes from textbooks and memories. The D-Day Invasion was a military milestone that took place on June 6th, 1944. Why don't you go ahead and Google that? My good friend, US Congressman Chris Gibson was the keynote speaker at the event, which was organized by Mr. Frank DeSorbo. I bumped into a couple of old friends at the event: Jim Morell, the President of Albany Broadcasting Company, and Capital District Radio Legend Joe Condon.
