+I really like the fact that facebook comments only display on individual post URLs - giving unique and one-time visitors an unprecedented opportunity to interact without "signing in" or enduring the "cap'cha" processs...
(1) BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING - back up your template via blogger's back-up button, but ALSO do a cut and paste into wordpad or notepad of your blog HTML - just in case!
(2) DO EVERYTHING EXACTLY AS JT LAYS OUT - there are excellent graphics, and simple-to-follow instructions. Take your time!
(3) DO NOT REMOVE your old commenting system! I learned this lesson a long time ago! Some folks prefer blogger or disqus or ID or whatever system you already have. FB comments - think of as an "enhancement" that will assist people to connect with you who other wise would not have bothered to comment. By the way, JT does NOT recommend removing your old comment system!
One important step that I am sure many of you will overlook (and will find you need it later) is the instructions for good housekeeping, so, hopefully it's OK with JT, I am reproducing them below.
Visit this URL http://developers.facebook.com/tools/comments in order to view all the posted comments on your blog. This is the screen you will see:
