Al Jazeera 24/7 Audio Stream now Available via Phone in the U.S.

AudioNow and Al Jazeera are pleased to announce a mobile radio partnership that enables Al Jazeera English and Arabic content to be accessed in the United States. The audio feeds for these channels are accessible via dialing (213) 493-0130 for Arabic and (213) 493-0140 for English.

Al Jazeera English is only available 24/7 online and on TV in select cities in the U.S. - DC, NYC, Toledo, Ohio, and Burlington,VT and the Arabic channel is available on Dish Network. By dialing the unique access numbers, listeners across the U.S. can now access Al Jazeera content from any mobile device or landline. Internet or smartphones are not required.

“We’re excited to be working with Audio Now to make our news and programming so accessible to Americans. Being available on another platform in the country- especially one that is widely available to virtually everyone- marks another step forward in our distribution efforts in the Americas. We encourage listeners who like our content to demand that it be available on TV by going to our website,” said Amjad Atallah, Regional Director for the Americas.

In the past year, Al Jazeera English was named “News Channel of the Year” by the Royal Television Society, received a Peabody award for its coverage of the Arab uprisings, a Columbia-DuPont award for its coverage of the Haiti earthquake, a George Polk award and Robert F. Kennedy Grand Prize award for the film Bahrain: Shouting in the Dark, and has been nominated for an Emmy for its coverage of the Fall of Tripoli and for the social media discussion show The Stream.
