The Old Farmer’s Almanac is calling for the 2013-2014 winter – November 2013 through March 2014 – to bring with it below average temperatures and above average snowfall. I think they are full of it!
Here's why: just before the 2013 hurricane season began, every weather pro making up seasonal forecasts was calling for an above average or “very active” season… which hasn't happened yet, unless we are in the proverbial calm before the storm.
Using what happened to date as a barometer, I predict a WARMER than average winter. Now, I am not a meteorologist, not even a weatherman! But I sense Mother nature is no longer sticking to the tried and true playbook of the 19th and 20th centuries: she's experimenting. Am I right?
