State of The Blog Going Forward

"Blogging frequently and hitting all the right SEO buttons is basically guaranteed to generate a net gain in pageviews. That is, however, not the key to establishing a solid core of committed readers."  ~ Eric Dye

The bloom seems to be off the blogging bush - at least for the moment, for me. For the first time in many years I haven't felt compelled to write, post and publish articles on my blogs. Certainly not at the frequency I once religiously adhered to.

The old blog spot just ain't what she used to be. Some folks have killed the joy... they've moved the medium from "art-diary" to "do-or-die," polluting the water of unbridled free-form expression with a bunch of rules, regulations and requirements. "Hits" be damned, I say!

Life Is Short

This came across my email today. Things can and do happen right out of the blue. And remember, "good" things can also happen right out of that same blue.

Paul Sleasman is a 37 year old, single father who was living a normal life with his son when a simple stomach ache sent him to the doctor.  That was on 12/10/13 and less than two weeks later, on Christmas Eve, Paul was given the diagnosis: Stage 4 Lung Adenocarcinoma that had spread to both his liver and brain.
